Supporting patients to quit smoking – your opportunity to ask the experts
PCRS-UK are in the process of developing a pragmatic guide for clinicians focusing on the diagnosis and management of tobacco dependency. As such, we have convened a group of 15 individuals with expertise in research, teaching, public health, policy and clinical practitioners in primary, community, acute physical and mental health settings.
A key part of the guidance will focus on the real-world challenges faced by clinicians in supporting patients to quit smoking and we would like your help. Please submit your questions to the expert group who will answer as many as possible. These can be practical questions about how best to talk to patients about quitting smoking, to asking the experts how they would have managed challenges you have faced in your own practice or your experiences of managing particularly challenging patients.
