The National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training (NCSCT) is a social enterprise committed to support the delivery of effective evidence-based tobacco control programmes and smoking cessation interventions provided by local stop smoking services.
The NCSCT works with and for the field to deliver training and assessment programmes, support services for local and national providers and conducts research into behavioural support for smoking cessation.
There are a range of training modules available for clinical and non-clinical staff on the NCSCT website. Everyone can do Level 1 training and all health professionals should have done the VBA training as a minimum. Monitor how your staff are getting on by viewing the NCSCT training register

Education for Health offer one-day workshops on smoking cessation training and also provide a diploma module (15 credits) on smoking cessation

BMJ Learning provide short online courses on smoking cessation which helps to equip GPs and practice nurses to:-
- Advise all smokers to quit
- Know what services are available for people who want to stop smoking
- Know when drug treatment may help people who want to stop smoking.
