On demand webinar: Greener respiratory healthcare: Exploring the impact of air quality and respiratory health
This webinar looks the relationship between air quality and respiratory conditions and what action healthcare professionals can take to tackle this.
The environment and air quality has a considerable impact on people with respiratory conditions and the symptoms they experience. In turn, respiratory conditions, and the medication which treats them, adds considerably to the NHS carbon footprint. Part of the PCRS Greener Respiratory Healthcare Campaign, this webinar aims to support understanding of this relationship and provide primary care healthcare professionals with the information and practical action they need to improve it.
In this webinar, chaired by Katherine Hickman (our PCRS Executive Chair), she, Sally Jones (Environment Manager from Bradford District Council) and Ian Sinha (Consultation Respiratory Paediatrician at Alder Hey Hospital) discuss the impact and relationship of the environment, air quality and respiratory conditions. This webinar:
- supports understanding of the environment and air quality and their relationship with respiratory symptoms and care,
- highlights the benefit of working to address and improve this, and
- provides healthcare professionals with practical action they can take to improve respiratory care and outcomes for their patients, as well as provide greener respiratory healthcare at the same time.
