Melissa Traynor
Melissa is a Respiratory Physiologist with over 17 years’ experience working in lung lunction labs in the UK and Ireland. Her areas of expertise include all aspects of pulmonary function testing as well as sleep diagnostics and therapeutics. Her current role is leading on a primary care early respiratory diagnostics project which is a mobile advanced lung function service that is bringing the testing to the patient in the community.
Melissa is Co-Chair of the ARTP NI Taskforce which is working to improve education, standards and workforce in NI. She is also on the ARTP spirometry committee and is a spirometry trainer for BarrettMcGrath Education and Mentoring Services.
Melissa holds two Bachelors of Science degrees, two diplomas and both ARTP professional exams. She has a keen interest in change management and is committed to improving the quality and standards of physiological measurements in her field.
