Ann Hutchinson
Ann Hutchinson is a research fellow with an interest in breathlessness. She is working on a number of studies and is leading an NIHR funded trial of a breathlessness management intervention for people with pulmonary fibrosis.
Additionally, she has worked with people with experience of breathlessness and local artists Anna Bean and Rob Mackay to develop a multimedia exhibition to raise awareness of this difficult symptom and to let people know what can be done to live well with it, entitled “Bringing Breathlessness into View” (www.hyms.ac.uk/bringing-breathlessness-into-view)
She has a degree in Experimental Psychology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, both from the University of Oxford. She was awarded a PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Hull on Chronic breathlessness and presentation to the emergency department in 2017.
