Emma Ray
Emma Ray qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1999. She has a background in critical care and completed an BSc(hons) degree in this field in 2005. Since 2009, she has worked in respiratory research, both in primary and secondary care settings, and has gained several qualifications in this area. Emma was awarded a Masters in Clinical Research (MRes) in 2015 following her project examining psycho-social issues in severe asthma. She is currently working as a Respiratory Nurse Specialist for the Sovereign Primary Care Network in Hampshire. Emma continues to be research active by supporting MSc students with their research projects, as a member of the trial steering group committee for the Breathe4T study and as a member of a research consortium of like-minded clinicians and researchers: https://respiratoryresearch.wordpress.com/. Emma is also supporting CRN research studies within her PCN. Emma’s areas of interest include smoking cessation and prevention, asthma and COPD.
