Tom Brown

photo of Tom BrownDr Thomas Brown is Consultant Respiratory Physician and Deputy Director of Research at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust where he leads the Portsmouth Severe Asthma Service and the Respiratory Research Department.

He is the National Clinical Lead for NHSE FeNO Programme 2021-23.

He holds an Honorary Readership at the University of Portsmouth with research interests including novel diagnostics and phenotyping in asthma. His PhD in asthma described the Wessex Severe Asthma Cohort which is one of the largest highly characterised severe asthma cohorts in Europe.

He is the Deputy Training Programme Director for Respiratory Medicine in Wessex and clinical lead for the University of Portsmouth Medical School at PHUT.
