GOVERNANCE OF PRIMARY CARE RESPIRATORY SOCIETY (PCRS-UK)
The Society is run by its board of trustees who are appointed by the membership and work closely with the PCRS-UK Executive and chief executive.
The PCRS-UK Executive, comprised of 12 elected members and up to four co-opted members, formulates recommendations on the aims, strategies and activities of the charity for approval by the Trustees and is responsible for developing and co-ordinating the activities of the charity. The Executive is supported by two principle sub committees for education and service development plus a conference organising committee and an editorial board for the Primary Care Respiratory Update publication. In addition, we have working groups responsible for organising the Clinical respiratory leadership programme, affiliated groups and research programmes. All formal members of PCRS-UK are eligible to apply to join a committee or working group. Click HERE for more information.
In addition the Society has a lay reference group responsible for providing independent advice and feedback to PCRS-UK Executive and trustees on how well the Society is performing in relation to the interests of patients’ and providing public benefit
